Lite n Easy: Get Stuffed!

Just a little update on my progress so far and how the Lite n Easy is going. I suppose from that title you could be forgiven for thinking I’m not too happy with it but it’s actually quite the opposite. I LOVE it! I am very pleasantly surprised and pleased with everything so far. The food is delicious, I’m eating more variety now than I’ve ever eaten, it’s so easy because I barely have to grocery shop and the biggest surprise of all is that I’m never hungry!

Looking at the portion sizes they look VERY small. When I got my first delivery I sorted out all of my meals for the week and thought to myself, ok so I’m gonna be a bit hungry for a while but I’ve just gotta push through it and soon enough my body will get used to it and it won’t feel so bad and the results will be worth it. But despite how small they look, they are actually REALLY filling! I am never hungry, in fact I’m usually pretty stuffed after my meal and could potentially forgo the snacks, but I’ve had them anyway in case I felt hungry later. I don’t want to make myself vulnerable to poor decisions.

So far I feel like L&E is worth every cent and I’m actually excited each day for my new meals, looking forward to what new delicious thing is in store for me that day. I’m really impressed with the quality and variety and the fact that you have more than one choice when it comes to ordering. I’m also really pleased that it’s not just salads, my meals so far have been awesome! Burgers, pizzas, Mexican, bacon and eggs, potato chips, pasta, chocolate cake and I’m even allowed cheese!! I am really amazed! But very very happy! I think I will stick with it for a couple of months and then potentially try to replicate come of the combos on my own and see what the price difference is like. If it’s minimal I’ll probably just stick with L&E because it makes life SO easy!

I weighed myself right before I started and I weighed (gulp) 77kg. Not TOO bad but at 5”4 it’s definitely over what I’d prefer to be. I suppose my ultimate goal would be to get down to 65kg which means I need to lose a total of 12kg. I’d love to be as close to 70kg as I can by GreazeFest but I guess we’ll just have to see. Incidentally, when I tried on THE dress for GreazeFest it was pretty tight. So tight in fact that the back of it was doing that thing where the zip and fabric overlap and double back on each other, getting all scrunched up. Not a good look. That was about 2 weeks ago. I tried the dress on again yesterday and all the fabric sits flat!! It’s still firm and it’s pulling a tiny bit but if that’s the difference in only 2 weeks I’ve no doubt it’s going to fit perfectly for GreazeFest in 3 weeks.

I’m exercising during the week, nothing hardcore but enough to make a difference. I usually walk 2-3 times a week and am doing muscle toning exercises in the days in between. I can certainly see a difference. My stomach is smaller and flatter than it was when I started. It’s really great to see I’m making progress. I’m going to hold off weighing myself again until the week of GreazeFest to see how far I’ve come in 4 weeks. I’m never usually one to weigh myself as I care more about how I feel and look than a number but seeing as I’m doing L&E this time I thought it would be good to have a number to compare.

I surprise myself though. Can’t believe that I just published my weight to the world. Never thought I would ever do that. I say I don’t care about a number and it’s true but to be honest I’ve also been scared to know what that number was. In case it made me feel really bad. I thought I’d be around 85kg so I’m really glad that I’m not. It’s still scary to put my weight out there but the first step is owning it right?

So there you go. That’s how I’m truckin. Feeling good. Committed. Motivated. Excited.
